Alright, so football season is right around the corner. Let me go ahead and predict that the Vols will go 15-0 this season and win the national championship. I am not worried about the overhyped Florida Gator's quarterback one bit. Speaking of hype, a lot of it has been going on this week regarding the race for the Presidency. The field is set and it's going to be a slugfest until November. So how do you all feel about the Presidential nominees? I know we have known who the participants will be for a while, but it seems like the race turned up a notch this past week. Any reaction to the Vice Presidential candidates? Did either candidate seperate himself from the other in your mind this week. If you don't have any idea, go to a major news site and read an article or two from this past week. I'm sure you will get caught up in a hurry. Anyway, I hope everything went well with the sub on Friday and I will see you all on Tuesday. Enjoy your long weekend and GO VOLS!

I think that this election year has already proven to be an historical one. It started out by being the first election since 1928 that neither a sitting president nor a vice-president has received nominations to run for the office. There was also Hillary Clinton being the first woman trying to run for president, and that yielded to the first African American being nominated for the office of president. Now with the pick of vice-presidents being revealed, I think more surprises lay in store, especially with Sarah Palin. I feel certain that many more twists and turns await on this roller coaster that leads to Election Day.
Well i dont really know much about the presidential candidates but i just read an article about Obama before a convention on august 24 and it really surprised me that he is supposed to be so high and mighty but he cursed about Mccain and then apologized by saying he was sorry he usually used heck, especially after church. That really surprises me that he acted like that and admitted to being two-faced. By the way i was not in class Friday but Julian told me at work to leave a comment on the blog.
Well Coach Ramsey lets start this blog off by sayin da sec is pretty darn whack pac ten all day baby!!!! oh yeah and it will be USC goin undefeated winning da National championship GO Trojans!!!and the presidential candidates im Barack Obama all da way... and we didnt get to finish da movie it was gettin pretty good so can we watch da rest tuesday well dats all haha but i'll holla PEACE
Yea, this election's one for the books. Odd as it may seem, people are probably going to remember it for a very long time to come. Personally I've been running for Obama simply for the soul purpose that we've had enough white male rednecks like Bush(s), (Sorry Jeff, gotta bust on Bush Jr and Senior alike), running our country and turning into a crap-hole of debt. Who was it that got our country's debt problem pretty leveled out in the past after the first resignation? (Clinton?)
Anyway, I'm thinking Obama's going to be like the Clinton of our time now. It's all up to the elections now. :P GO TN!
ramsey!! i dont really have a good idea of who i would pick if i could vote but obama is two faced we dont need somebody like that runnin our country.. im right there with you the vols are gonna be good... theyre gonna win. the sub was a lil weird she just wasnt you she just sat there the whole time. the movie was good though. see you tuesday bright and early.. hope you have had a great long weekend.
Hey coach Ramsey,
So to tell you the truth, I know absolutely nothing about either football or elections...but i went onto a website and found an election map and it said obama was winning...don't really know if that's a bad thing or a good thing...yeah i don't really stay up to date with all of this election stuff. I just let my parents handle that part of it until i'm old enough to vote. but i'll see you on tuesday. Hope you had a great weekend.
Glad you all liked the movie, and that some of you have remembered to post. We'll finish the movie tomorrow as long as the vols play well. See ya tomorrow
Well i'm not too into politics (i leave that up to Jake) but its really getting interesting to see how things will turn out. All the news sites seem to be more worried about hurricane Gustav (stupid name for a hurricane :P ) then they are about the campaign. Maybe Gustav will take the Gators out for you Ramsey. I'm going to go enjoy my free monday, see ya tomorrow! ♥Brooke♥
Howdy. Overall im pretty undecided on who i think is going to win the presedential election. Typically i lean towards the "less government" republican party, but i think Obama might be a better leader. People are going to complain about the president no matter who it is so we might as well make history with an african american president while we're at it.
Ramsey i must say that i like that prediction and everyone knows that its true so why even act like someone else going to win GO VOLS!!! As far as the election goes im kinda leanin toward obama but not for any real political reason. O well. Anyway see u 2moro. I should be in a great mood since the vols are going to dominate.
Go VOLS!!!!! I really dont like either nominee. I truely think if either nominee becomes president the United States will be more worse than what it has been. But I think Mccain will be a better president than Obama. It isnt time for Obama to become president, he is a good speaker but i dont know about a good leader. Just my opinion. Seeya Tuesday Coach Ramsey
Ramsey!
When it comes to whole Presidential Elections we have no worries. Okay? Obama is fo sho gonna win. His Vice President candidate seems pretty cool, his son is really hot. lol. But McKain or whatever is way to old and is nothing compared to Obama. I do give him props for choosing a female as a Vice President candidate. That was smart on his half, but it still will not help him out that much because Obama is going to win.

yeah, the election will be weird. there either will be an african american in office or a woman vp. this election will change hisory no matter what the outcome.
Vols are the best.
Well, I'm gonna be honest here, I don't care. I don't turn 18 till the day the new President takes office and therefore I do not get to vote. I understand that it will greatly effect my life over the next four or eight years, but at this point in time, I also have to worry about college. Between something that I really don't have a lot of control over for four to eight years versus something that I have complete control over that effects the rest of my life in every way possible, I will waste my time worrying about myself.

Hey Ramsey! So Jessica Hampton told me you said hey the other night! But on the election, i really don't like either of them. They are more worried about running against each other than what is best for our country! The movie was good and i don't like the vols! :) see you tomorrow!
well...im all for mccain. I think Obama is stupid because why should we have to pay taxes for people who just sit on there big butt all day...get out and get a job people!!
i don't really know what to think about this election. but either way it'll be something new, which could be good and bad. no matter who is president, people will always having something to complain about. i can't vote any way so my opinion doesn't go very far but that's okay. next election.!
For the first time in my life I am ashamed to wear orange. I will not wear orange again until the Vols win a game.
i am a complete vols fan! i would love to see them destroy tebow this year! go vols! as for the election, i think mccain is a decent guy and i like his vp, but i'm afraid that he would be exactly like bush. i like obama, but he does lack experience, compared to most politicians. but then again, jfk and clinton were young, too. overall, i hope that whoever will do the best job for the country, wins the election. see ya tomorrow, ramsey!
Hey! Its Marley and Richard. And we're commenting. We're praying for McCain
Hey Coach Ramrod sorry I didn't post a blog Friday I wasn't at school and bummer on the vols well keep your head high and viva la superman and the vols
yo ramsey, if i was fulmer i would throw a brick at lincoln. anyways the vols will pull through at their next game. Eric Berry is the man. Peace out.
im not big in polcites sorry if its spelled wrong not good with big words, and one lost will not stop use from use going to the championship. GO VOLS
I'm not sure about this election as well as everyone else. I am deff. a republican and have been keeping up with politics recently only because I can vote. I feel like this election will change America drastically no matter who wins.
GO VOLS!!!!!
Cant vote but if i could i would be for Obama all the way! and I do give props to McCain for pickin a women vice president but i still have to stick to my family lol... but nah I think we do need change and thats what Obama will do!
Doniqua
Honestly, I've never really been big in politics and whatnot, but I think Obama will win. Either way, this presidential election has made history and will continue to. Obama just seems to be promising more changes, which is what the US needs and wants. Everyone's tired of Bush. Except Zach, apparently, since he always has something positive to say about him. But then again... that's Zach.
Glad to be back in your class, btw. I've missed the interesting conversations that take place, for suuuure. Ha.
Later.
i can't believe the vols went down like they did!!...anyways i feel that this years election will be closer than it ever has before...i think that McCain chose a better person for his running mate just because it's a woman...i think that McCain really put himself out there and maybe even took over the lead
First off, Go Bruins. Though the Vols are my favorite team.
All I have to say is I dont feel like I can support either canidate at the moment.
Fernando
I'm not big on government or politics and it has never really interested me. However, this election has felt really powerful and important. Maybe because I'm getting older or maybe because it is a really important election. After watching conventions, Obama and McCains's running mate, Sarah Palin are very good speakers. But I feel like Obama says things Americans WANT to hear. For example: bringing factories back so there are more jobs...that's impossible. Factories in the U.S. are too expensive and there is cheaper labor over seas. That is a promise Obama can't keep. Sarah Palin has a son in Iraq, a child with down syndrome, a pregnant 17 year old, along with two other kids. I think this is an advantage for McCain and Sarah both because a lot of Americans can relate to one if not several of those situations.
p.s. Coach Ramsey, you can change that 0 in the grade book now :)
hey Rams. yea i am feeling UT this year even after our lost game and thank goodness the flordia gators are coming to our turf this time so i can go and watch them get crushed.
Hey coach Ramsey, i wanted to say that i do not know much about politics but i think that this elections are interesting because Obama is the first African American to run for president and Hillary was the first woman to run for president. I think i like more McCain than what I like Obama.
sad the vols lost :( oh well, we'll come back from it. no worries! glad the longhorns won though!
I'm not to sure who i would vote for for this election, but hey it doesn't matter I'm not old enough to. However i think I'm leaning more for McCain,
Oh, and UT doesn't matter Kentucky is going to win it all!!
Hey this Britt Carson Tennessee Rules!
Go Vols!
Have tickets but will miss home opener against UAB cause of ACT!!
well ramz, i dont but the vols, they suck pretty hard, like every year...uga and texas longhorns are where its at.
but if i could vote this time around i would vote for obama more than likely bc joe biden will run the country and he has more political experience than palin has had birthdays
Well the vice presidents do change things up a bit, either way this will be a historic election. I do have to say though that both sides have strong points and weak sides, idk who im going to vote for yet...
ps: sorry ramsey but as you know UCLA won
PPS: don't fail me cause im a ucla fan plz...
I am dissapointed by both candidates. If I had to pick I would pick Obama but I doubt he's gonna be as revolutionary as everyone things.

RACHEL M. WROTE THIS BUT SHE CAN'T REMEMBER HER PASSWORD: I thought that Hillary wasn't the first female candidate. Didn't Elizabeth Dole run a few years back? Anyway, I watched some of Palin's speech, and she seemed to be pretty strong and had a good message. Everybody seems to be slamming her, but I think she's got both feet on the ground. Even if McCain did choose her just for the "woman factor" or whatever, he could have done much, much worse.
hey this is caleb nagy i think i'm tripping right now but i'm not sure. hope this message thing works. alright well peace
I am very glad I am not able to vote this year because i am not to pumped with McCain or Obama. They are both great speakers. It will be very interesting on what will happen whoever is elected.
Vote Obama.
Palin is unexperienced. ANd McCain is too old.
