Alright! You guys got to try out Sim City today. This is the first time I have been able to try this in the classroom so I am anxious to see how it goes. Hopefully by the end of this nine weeks, you will see the merit of this simulation. What did you all think of the activity so far? Do you see the relevance of this simulation to what we are studying? If you don't see a connection right now, I think you will eventually. I know we didn't get a whole lot of time today, but we should be able to dive right into it next week. I am anxious to see how you all do. Changing the subject just a bit, how do you think class is going thus far? Do you have any suggestions of things I could be doing or subjects you would like me to teach? I appreciate any feedback you all are willing to give. Well, I guess I will leave it at this for now. Until next time, you stay classy Science Hill!

♥ Muhahaha i get the first comment :P Bonjour Czar Ramsey and classmates! I think the simcity project is a great idea because its fun and educational! We have to learn how to cooperate, compermise, and control a city (yay alliteration) with a budget in mind. Its great first-hand experience for learning how an economy is ran- Plus its funtabulous :) ! See ya monday, may ramseytopia live long and prosper, ~brooke ♥

Hey Coach Ramsey! I think Sim City is going to be a great way for us to experience and learn how to control an economy. Brooke kindof summed up the rest of it for you. :) I think class is pretty fun so far and i thank you for being an awesome teacher. :>
have a great weekend,
dominique p.
Sim City is awesome. Playing a computer game for one day in a class is cool. I cant wait to see wat else you have planned for us for the rest of the nine weeks. I will see you Monday Czar Ramsey.
I think the Sim City game is a good idea. It's a great hands-on experience that challenges people to work together and make executive decisions for the benefit of their city. The game offers a creative way to work outside the classroom and apply the concepts learned.

Hey Coach Ramsey! I really enjoyed SimCity! After i got the hang of actually building roads it went really well! I really had fun and learned a little about economics through the game! We're almost broke! Haha! Well See ya tomorrow in class!
Sup Coach?? Haha I do really enjoy Sim City... It is a good way to work together in finding out what the economy needs and it is a good trial and error game. And the budget definitely is helping prepare us for the real world! See ya Monday!
Ramsey Rules!!!
Well hello, Czar Ramsey. (Why not Tsar?) I think I've procrastinated long enough, so now I've come to put in my two cents. I like sim city; it makes economics less boring than I described in my first reflection. Also, one of the people in my group seems to know his way around the game pretty well, so I don't have to deal with acquainting myself with it, which makes life easier, even though the game is pretty straightforward. Ummm...what else to say...I think you do a good job of drawing people into the lessons, which is partly why I haven't fallen asleep in your class since the second day of school (sometimes I just sit with my eyes closed. seriously).
So, basically, that's all I have to say about this. I'll see you tomorrow.
ramsey... your class is awesome. i can tell its gonna be fun already. i think that playin sim city is gonna be fun and it will give us time to actually interact with what your teaching us. your the best teacher ever!
I think it's going pretty well. SimCity seems cool. Your class is great.

This whole Sim City thing is pretty chill. I think it a fabulous hands on activity. I suck at it though. I blew up our whole city. lol. Anyways I am enjoying your class so far, hopefully it will stay that way. See you Monday!
I really liked playing Sim City in class Thursday. At first, i was confused, but i think it's really going to make us use our heads and work together as a team, as well as learn how fast money can be spent and what all effects the economy. :) so far, i think our class is great!!
...except, doesn't look like many people have done their homework yet. haha
see you tomorrow! HAPPY BIRTHDAY COACH RAMSEY!!!!
Sim City is way better than bookwork.
Rasta.
hey coach! i think sim city is a great idea! it makes the week go by a whole lot faster when we are doing stocks and sim city!
Well to tell you the truth I have never been able to play Sim City longer than 2 minutes. I guess i just dont like to deal with all the economical issues in the game, but it is great! I love to blow up the buildings! I do agree it is better than bookwork.
Sim city is soo much fun its different from anything I have ever done in a class and it really helps you get a basic understanding of econ
at first, when you said we were playing Sim City i was cofused and thought it was the one where you play with the characters and make houses and stuff so the actual game was different than i thought. but i thought it was really fun and it made my group really think about budgeting , which is something we weren't that great at ... but so far i really like the class :)
Hey! Its me Richard
Wad up coach Ramsey I like sim city its fun
hey, coach Ramsey i think that sim city is fun
Hey Coach Ramsey!
I really like playing Sim City! Its kinda confusing but fun.
Hey coach Ramsey i think simcity is really fun a little bit hard, but fun. This game will really help us understand many things about taking decisions, and managing an economy.
simcity is fun and lots better than class so lets keep it up!

sim city is allot of fun... shame itll end so soon though its a really good teaching aid especially for econ...
sim city is awsome it if fun and i love to play it instaed of doing work i hope they will let you keep doing it
Sim city is fun, getting to build a city and ruin it if ya have to. I really like the stock game, anything that has to do with investing money and taking a gamble has always been really fun to me. Well i don't know how it will end and if I will learn a lot from it but i am sure that i can take care of things in a city now, slightly haha
peace ramsey
well... I just figured out the website and how to blog (my mom made me after seeing the two F's on the midterm). About the blog, I LOVE sim city!! Even though we spent all our money on a gorgeous football stadium, which you didn't tell us cost $5,000, our city looks pretty good. Building a city is intriguing! And I do love your class, excluding the HORRIBLE bookwork you gave us, but I understand... i guess "team punishment" or whatever.. it's all good now!
Go VOLS!
It is a great interactive and fun learning tool. Much better than reading from a textbook
